I've kindof been wondering how to open firefox, with 1 little catch, get it to close by itself after 30 seconds, without displaying any messages, I tried the shutdown command, I've tried the exit command, and finally I've tried the taskkill command, what I'm trying to do is get a batch file to open up firefox, then after about 30 seconds, have it close by itself. my cousin claims, that you can do that with command prompt commands, but I think otherwise, but that's about it.

Sounds like homework to me.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Thanks this should help, actually its kindof neat what all is out there in terms of bugs for computers, I've messed with the boot.ini file a lot with windows XP, which was pretty fun, that and DPI settings, but this wasn't really for homework, it was merely just to see if it was even remotely possibly, something to feed my curiousity.
