how to block sites from address bar

Specs: Windows Vista
i have sites that i dont want to be seen already blocked but im tired of looking at them in the address bar, for some reason every time i go to clear browsing history it gets rid of the problem but every time i close my browser then reopen later its appears again even if the site is block. just looking to see if there is a way to keep that from getting in my address bar. i found it kind of odd since usually sites only end up there if you type them in but that hasn't been the case. if this helps my internet browser is google chrome.

Problem may be with the way some browsers allow a smart fill to the address line. Disable that feature in options.

I like using a good hosts file. to help block sites.

A good router can be set to block sites too.

A good firewall also may block sites.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
