How do you get Vista to read all 4GB RAM

Specs: Windows Vista, 3.4GHZ / 4GB
I have 4GB of memory installed on my MOBO and bios reads it fine but VISTA only reads 3GB's
How do I get VISTA to read or use all the installed memory?

Hi, If you're using a 32 bit version of Windows Vista, then Windows can only access approximately 3.4 GB of RAM. To take advantage of all 4 GB, you'll need to upgrade to a 64 bit version of Windows.

Basically, you can't.

The problem is that you are in a grey area. If you do go to a 64 bit you loose 1G ram. See the official Microsoft web pages for that proof. There is a lot of issue to even consider a 64 bit os. Not all systems will work and not all applications will work. Your system has to have support for it in all areas. And you'd have have all drivers.

The old and not too trusted way is to use PAE. If you are brave then try this.
