Comment: Hi, I think my MBR might be corrupted, and was wondering how to fix it. I know theres a command on the Windows XP CD to do this. How do I restore the MBR with a Windows Vista disk?

Reply: (edit)Thanks for your help, I have fixed it. I booted my computer with the Vista disk that came with my computer, and went to the recovery option, and the wizard automaticly detected the corrupted MBR and rebuilt it. I suspect the MBR was probaly deleted or lost from when i installed Debian Linux on my computer (the installer failed to install a boot loader, so when i turned the computer on, it went to the Intel boot agent to do a network boot). I did not loose any data. I have since removed the Linux partitions and tried a different Linux OS, which works fine now.
