How do I format(?) and restore my mother's computer to the original factory setting. Not worried about losing any information on the computer.

She doesn't have the CD/DVD. Is there a way to do it without the CD/DVD. I heard something about booting the computer and pressing F2 or F11 or maybe another number and doing it that way.

My Dell (older) is "Immediately upon seeing the blue bar, press <Ctrl><F11>"
See response #2 at http://www.computing.net/answers/ha... for the instructions for using Dell using PC Restore or where to find the instructions on yours perhaps.

I was wrong, it's not a Dell. I just asked her and she said it's an HP Compaq Presario SR5030NX
