I'd suspect a virus.

Some flash drive you put in has an autorun.inf file that loaded a virus maybe. Try to put a folder on each flash drive named autorun.inf. If it complains that there is file named that then you need to rename the file and then make the FOLDER autorun.inf.

Then look under your user in the command prompt. Type the command attrib

If you see lsass.exe or something like that you have to get rid of it.

Finally after all that you can use regedit to find the phrase e:\setup.exe and delete the key. It is always risky to edit registry. If you are unsure then make a backup of the registry in case.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Download Autorun from Microsoft here and run it as administartor.

This program will find many entries that start when Windows starts. One (or more ) of the entries may contain e:\setup.exe. Uncheck its box ( their boxes ) and restart Windows.

During normal use of your computer, if nothing wrong happens, you may delete the entry in Autorun ( right-click on the entry and click Delete ) or leave it unchecked forever.
