how do i get my email's folders, inbox, sent,

July 5, 2011 at 23:52:36
Specs: Windows Vista

All of my email folder's topic buttons have disappeared from email page. These are: create mail, inbox, sent items, delete, junk mail. Secondly, on the email 'tool bar' the following buttons have also disappeared: forward, reply, reply to all. There may be another button missing from email folder or tool bar, but if so I can't remember. I mean they have all disappeared.

Today I still had 'create mail button', but decided if I clicked around where the buttons used to be, perhaps they would reappear. Before I began clicking around, I positioned the cursor arrow at left margin of email page right next to 'create mail button'. I did this in order to enlarge the page, as it was only 5" wide. Next I left clicked in area just to left of 'create mail button'. Then the 'create mail button' disappeared. I feel I did not click around prior to this, but noticed the buttons were missing. I use Windows Vista. Any ideas? Thank you.

tina12, For the "email folder's topic buttons have disappeared from email page" just open your Inbox then click on the word "Inbox" button in the Main Identity bar. For the missing Toolbars right click the Menu Bar and checkmark "Toolbar". If it's checkmarked right click an empty area of the Toolbar, select Customize, then move the Toolbar Buttons you want from Available (on the left) to Current (on the right using the Add button.

Thanks Tufenuf, for your help. I couldn't reply sooner b/c i got a bad chest infection. I now have the missing email tool bar. For my email folder's topic buttons disappearing, when I look up at the top menu (Main Identity Bar, i take it) there is no 'Inbox button' or word that says 'Inbox', so this means there is nothing to click on to bring the missing topics down on the screen. The missing items are: sent, junk mail, drafts & deleated.

I'm using Windows Mail and Windows Vista if that helps or clarifies things. Perhaps your email version is different from mine. Tufenuf, if you or anyone else can help me get my email folder's topic buttons back that would be so helpful. Thanks again! Tina12

tina12, My instructions were for Outlook Express. I'm not familiar with Windows Mail so hopefully someone who is will come along with a solution to your problem.

Wish I had a better answer.

Tufenuf, thanks for replying. Today I'm posting the solution for your knowledge & anyone else who might get this problem. Initially, I didn't call my internet server b/c I thought it was a software problem, not internet. A friend suggested I call my server anyway. I did. The solution for bringing back hidden email icons like inbox, sent, delete, junk mail etc. is to go into View, then Layout. Click on folders. Thank you, again for your response on the 14th. Tina12
