Open the start menu, in the search box, type "recovery" then click on Recovery Disc Creation under programs. After making the recovery disc (I have not done this before, using educated guesses) close all applications and insert the recovery disc (if there are multiple, insert disc 1). Shutdown the computer then turn it on, let it boot from the disc, and if I am guessing right, it should ask you to format your hard drive in the nstallation.

Hope the helps and works.

By the way if you also want to backup all your files, depending on how much space they take up, I would suggest getting an external hard drive and storing everything you don't want to loose on that.

A follow up question to your reply. If when i bought my computer from Best Buy, they gave my a recovery disc and one with drivers, should I assume that I wouldn't have to make that recovery disc you mentioned?

Unless it's labelled recovery or Windows Vista I wouldn't assume anything, it may be a driver disk or some trial software.
Follow the previous instructions and make sure.
