How can i delete a file left after uninstalli

Sage Act! 2010 (full product)
November 26, 2010 at 04:21:19
Specs: Windows Vista
I have recently bought an update version of Sage Accounts. I previously had a very old version which could not be updated. I uninstalled the old Sage 7 and installed the new version. This didn't work.
I then reinstalled the old version for later reference. I also installed the new version in another path so that I could run both but separately. The new version won't run as it keeps saying that there are files still there. How can I delete these files manually? I have the file names and path Please bear in mind that I am not a computer expert.

I was with you until the last sentence.

If you know the exact files you may be able to look in two places for problems relating to it.

One is the actual location. It may be locked in normal boot. Boot to safe mode and delete. Might have to use live cd to delete.

Second is any registry entry. It may be that you can delete the registry entry for any (if they exist) files and reboot.

I suggest you get a good tech to attempt either of those. Make a backup with system state before you begin.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
