Comment:

after copying winhlp32.exe from an xp machine i can now open .hlp files if i click on them directly. But when in the app (Delphi 5) clicking on 'help'or pressing f1 still brings up the 'stub' exe. I wanted to delete winhlp32.exe from the windows folder and replace it with the good xp one but can't seem to find any permissions to do that either. any suggestions will be appreciated - i never imagined this could be as difficult as it is turning out. I have to have interactive help while running delphi so am now considering reverting to XP unless I find a workaround soon.
Jenny

thanks cuffy - have sorted it out by persisting until I got permission to delete the stub file from the windows folder and put the good file in there. Alter switching on the macros from that site's doc it now works!!!!!
