Provide some of the links you are having difficulty with. Your post does not have enough information.

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

for instance I use www.carolinahome.com for work. For an example on the front page the first link you find under "speaker series how to sell HUD homes" The link says "click here". I click and a seperate window opens and nothing happens the hour glass just keeps spinning. I have to stop the process and hit refresh and then the page shows up. This has never happened before. I have not installed anything recently to my computer.

it happens on all websites. I could not even post a message on the Microsoft forum. It would not allow me to open the post message link.

it looks like it has to do with your browser and not with your OS. do you have a firewall? try disabling it. what kind of browser do you use? if you use firefox try to uninstall it and reinstall it back. maybe it could even be your internet connection...did you change it recently? try to log off your internet connection and log in again...did you update anything? does your operating system behave normally or it freeze? we have really few infos to help you

Thanks for the reply. I'm using IE 7. It's not internet connection since no one at my office has this problem. I have not changed or updated anything recently. I have read so much online tryib=ng to find a solution that I have tried, reseting my interent explorer settings, made sure my default broweser is IE. Tried running it with add-ons disabled and still no go. I don't know what to do.

You may have spyware or malware. Try disabling your anti-virus software. I know this is time consuming as well, but I would recommend uninstalling your anti-virus software as a better suggestion. If you use Norton, that could be the culprit as well. Norton can cause your PC to do many weird things. Even if you disable Norton it can still cause your PC to act weirdly. Nothing but an uninstallation of Norton will help.

I'm using Mcafee. Since I have last posted I have installed Firefox and everthing works as it should. I have also installed the service pack for Vista and it was no help at all. Do you think I should still try uninstalling Mcafee? Thanks again for the help.

If it's working well, then I don't see the need to. But if it's still not working, I suggest you remove it too.

I should have stated that it only works using Firefox as my browser. I have unistalled Mcafee and IE still has the same problems.

It may be a problem with the hosts file. Look here.

I have given up and reinstalled my operating system and everything is fine. Gateway tech told me that Kodak easyshare software causes problems with Vista. I'm not sure about that but I have to take her word for it. I do need to use it though...

This was all caused because of the Kodak software? That sounds odd....
