All Recovery CDs are designed to be installed as is with no option to deeselect what you don't want installed. It's all or nothing.

Jaw-Dun Thai Wraa,

You can have Vista installed first with other stuff, and later you can "Uninstall" the unwanted software.

It all depends on the type of Recovery Disc(s) supplied with the machine. What do you have?

Look in start, programs for some HP folders. On my old HP there was a spot in there some where you could click to tick what pre-installed junk you wanted to remove and if you wanted it back you could go in and restore it. Mary
