i bought the toshiba satellite A205-S6812 open box and i don't have a window vista cd which one is already installed in it but now it's showing some problems. if i want to reinstall the windows how i can do that? And one more thing i have 250GB hard drive in it but it shows almost 231GB why?

Is your warranty still valid?? If so take advantage of it and let Toshiba handle the problems. As for your hard drive a 250G drive formatted in Windows works out to 232.5G of space. Rough rule of thumb is to take the manufactures size and multiply it by 93%. Your 231G is fairly close to what I calculated.

If didn't get a recovery cd, you will have to make one from the start menu (create recovery) will need 1 or 2 dvds, once burned, then boot from disc and will be able to format then reinstall.
