HELP!!!! I have a flash drive that contains important information that I can’t get back so please help! The flash drive I have is a PNY attaché 2 gigabytes. It was a FAT file system. One day not to long ago it just stopped working. (I did not drop it or do anything radical to it prior) When I put it in my Windows Vista Home Premium computer and I try to access it is says you might need to format it in order to use it. But if I do that I will lose everything on it. When I did a little investigating I right clicked on My Computer and clicked on Manage and then I went to Disk management I saw the flash drive their saying the file system is RAW. And it also says that it is a healthy partition. How do I get EVERYTHING off of it? Anything you can tell me will be helpful, don’t be hesitant to post your thoughts or if you experienced this or if you know anyone that this has happened to please tell me what you did or what they did PLEASE.

Seems to me that the partition on the flash drive corrupted. the best way to retrieve the files is to run a data recovery program. Ontrack DataRecovery is a best program that recover any RAW data. you can download the trial version from www.ontrackdatarecovery.com Or find someone that own the program, I know Hiren's BootCD have it included. do a google search on it. And I believe 99% of your files still remain on flash drive, unless you try to overwrite it. hope it helps
