Specs: Windows Vista
I want to install a bigger hard drive in my acer T135 desktop. I need a compatible hard drive. The old hard drive is a barracuda 7200.7 80GB ST30013AS. I would like to upgrade to a 160GB but it must have the same speed because the new hard drives are SaTA 11 and 111 and are too fast for the motherboard to handle , and this one is a SATA 1.
Any ideas?

That thing is pretty outdated. Have you upgraded anything else like RAM (2GB max) & adding a decent graphics card?

As for the HDD, you can install a SATA 1, SATA 2 or SATA 3, it doesn't matter. They are backwards compatible. And you can certainly can (& should) go larger than 160GB.
