Google is not responding as a search engine.
I've removed the serach engine toolbar (which was where the issue first arose) and l now work directly with the Google web page however still no search results. For instance if I search with "lloyds tsb" the following address
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e... comes up and I am presented with a blank page, usually with "Done" in bottom left corner of the browser. Am using IE8 which I have uninstalled and reinstalled and also tried with Firefox with no success. I did not get this problem with IE7. Operating system is Vista Home.

and removing all it findsSome HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

Many thanks for that. Although it took many attempts to download the program, when I was able to run it, 2 Trojans and 1 Malware were found, despite running two antivirus programmes! All appears to be working now.
MAny thanks for your help. :-)

You are most welcome.
despite running two antivirus programmes!
One thing to keep in mind, you shouldn't use 2 AV's at the same time as they will cause a conflict. Use one or the other.
Also run more scans than just Malwarebytes.Click on my signature link, I have lots of great free cleaners listed on one page for easy access.
