if you want to enjoy the high ends graphics of the upcoming 'Far Cry' successor 'Crisis'. you'll need Vista, although a low end version will be made available for xp/dx9.

Crysis will support both DX10 and DX9 out of the box, there are no different versions...
But keep in mind you'll also need DX10 hardware to take advantage of the new technology, without it you're still gonna have to do with DX9 even in vista.And btw, those screenshots in your link are just the old Far Cry, THIS is what crysis looks like:
