Frustration with Windows Vista IE8 favorites

Microsoft Windows vista ultimate w/ sp1...

Specs: Windows Vista Ultimate SP2, 3GB

I know I have a favorite saved somewhere.
When I start typing its name in the IE8
address bar, it finds it among my favorites. The
trouble is, I want to edit it, but I don't know
exactly where it is because IE doesn't tell me.
I have 1800 favorites in subfolders several
layers deep. The search feature in Windows
Explorer doesn't seem to find it. Any ideas?

Ah, got it. When I'm in the Favorites folder in Windows Explorer,
if I search for * it doesn't find anything. I have to then click on
Advanced Search, and check "Include non-indexed, hidden and
system files." and then it finds it.
