Specs: Windows Vista
My Vista computer has been very slow and at sometimes unresponsive. It will boot up, when not displaying a boot manager error, but will crash. Task manager shows 100% CPU useage at all times and a dax error will display on nearly all my programs. I think it may have obtained a virus, and a system restore wont help. Is a full factory restore my only option? If so, will it help?

hi well u havent said much detail on how this problem ocurred
, i.e has it always been there or has it just appeared over
time..and what makes u think u have a virus..?..if u have been
using the net without a virus protector then your asking for the keyword is No virus protection No internet
use...simple..but if u have the original Vista disc..u can
always re-install windows again from scratch...mind u if u can
save any info u have to disc cos a re-install will wipe
everything off....providing u aint got any virus that will sort it..!
