Hey guys, When ever i start up my computer everything is just fine but whenever i click my start button menu, the whole taskbar/start menu thing just freezes. Everything on my desktop works except the taskbar. What's wrong with my computer? Hope You'll Help, Mina

It's a bit long-winded, but I'd start off by running msconfig and reboot using a basic startup - see if the problem occurs, then disable some of the items that start up automatically & see if you can narrow them down to the one causing the problem. In the old days it was something that occured when system resources were low, but these days it's more down to software running in the background and causing problems. "I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..."

Another thing that you can try is to try to remember when your start menu worked properly. If you can, and you have a restore point from about that time, you can use system restore to take your system back to that point. Just read about system restore in "Help and Support". If the system restore works, you may have some updates to install, but that's pretty easy. If it doesn't, you can restore your system back to now, and try something else. -Roger
