Hi I just got my PC [Gateway LX6810-01) yesterday and the first time I started it up it froze on the start up. It always freezes right at the beginning and you can see Microsoft Corporation VERY FAINTLY - you care really barely see it only if you try hard. So I called customer support and they said to unplug all of my USBs except for my keyboard, restart it, and click Start Windows Normally. This worked. After I plugged everything back in again and restarted my PC again since I just installed some of my basic every day software like Windows Office 2007, MSN, etc, it still froze on the start up again. Every time I restart or shut down my PC and start it up, it freezes on the start up. The freeze is the exact same as stated above at the 2nd sentence. So I called Customer Service again and they said to install the Windows Updates and then see if it happens still, which it still does. What should I do to fix this?! Is my computer broken? Is my operating system broken? Should I return this? Please help!

I forgot to add that after the second time I called, the lady on Customer Support told me to go to Safe Mode instead of Launch Windows Normally and it wouldn't go, it just froze at Loading Window Files for that. I've been finding problems like mine online but still can't find an answer. Can you please e-mail me support?! This is Vista 64bit too, I've always been on 32bit before on my old Gateway. Is that an issue?

It's a new computer return it for repair or replacement, don't take no for an answer, if it was like it when you first turned it, it's got a problem and theirs to fix not yours.

Thanks. I called Gateway's Technical Support twice, and I am currently doing their online e-mail support. If this e-mail support doesn't work, I will probably try to send it in. It is ridiculous for me to have to unplug all of my USBs except for my keyboard every single time my pc restarts or shuts down just so I can turn it on.

Does anyone else have similar issues? I've read around on some posts here about people's computers freeze at the start up logo but that's about it. I haven't seen any solutions yet. Anyone?
