Vista has quite a few errors (ironicly the same bloody ones that xp did when it first came out) in the printer controls / sharing / ect... i have personally had many problems with network connected printers and some locally. MS is comming out with an update soon which may fix your problem... however i would say some one on here very well might beat them too it... the advice i can give you is to try all different methods... there are always atleast 3 different roads to complete a task in vista and i so far am living proof that one of them always works (but it is usually the hardest/stupidest one)
