I have a 5.25 port card reader in my PC.
When I insert the above card it says "you need to format this card before you can use it"
I have tried Quick format and full format but it comes up with "cannot complete format"
I have downloaded the Panasonic SD formatter and used it but when I try to access the card it still says "you need to format..."

Is the card reader in the computer designed for high-capacity cards reading? If not, the 4GB Adata Turbo SDHC Card is not backwards compatible with the legacy SD format host devices in your computer.

Hi,
Thanks for your response
I have tried using a USB card reader that is new and supposed to be compatible with SDHC but I still get the "You need to format" message.on Vista.
I have 2 Adata 4gb cards, they both do the same thing. I am now trying to format using the USB card reader and Vista again.

Well, it looks like that was the problem. I used the USB card reader and chose Format when it said it needed it and I got the message "Format Complete". The second one I chose "Quick Format" and that came up "Format Complete"
However I am still not sure if the Vista formatting is the right one - is the Panasonic SD Formatter more efficient - makes the card respond quicker etc.?
