I want to remove the vista operating system off my laptop which was factory installed without boot disc?

What are planning to install in it's place? whichever os you're planning on putting on to replace Vista will be able to format the drive.
Make sure all drivers are available for the os you plan to install.

Delete partition.

I would be careful about that too.
