OK, it's just a small observation/problem but why is it that the folder views seem to take on a life of their own - can be list, then large icons then details. There doesn't seem to be anything regular it's just that I never know what view I'm going to get next time. I don't change any view deliberately but and it's becomae a bit of a fun game to try & guess what it will be 'this time'. Anyone else come across this 'problem' or is it just me?

Thanks for reply - it's not the details options that change, it's the whole 'view' option. I've checked the 'remember folder views' & gone through the 'hierarchy fix' but it's still wierd how I can open it from one time to the next & the view is different. Definitely suspect a glitch in Vista & hoping it may be cured with the forthcoming SP.

As far back as I remember Windows always did this. Vista is no exception.
