Hi there.

This may be a stupid question but i'm having a bit of trouble with my NVidia GeForce 7600 GT card and a Sony Bravia KDL20S 20" widescreen LCD.

My problem is that I want to use dual-monitor, so my DVI-D output is converted to HDMI via a converter and then input into my Sony TV. The DVI-I output is then converted to VGA and put into a smaller LG monitor.

The LG doesn't have a problem, yet the Sony doesn't seem to want to agree with me on the HD input.

I've gone through every resolution at every refresh rate in the NVidia Control Panel and can't find one which fits the full screen and doesn't flicker.

The best I've found is 1280x720px at 60hz which is what I'm running at the moment yet the desktop is too big for my sony screen, by about a centimeter or so left and right and half a centimeter at the top.

My question is therefore, firstly, is there a way to autoconfigure the display to find the best one? (possibly one which isn't in the NVidia Control Panel). Or, is there a way to shrink the display so that it's at the same resolution but squeezed in?

Alternatively, is there another fix to my problem?

The DVI cable is fine as I've tested it with my PS3 and had no problems...

Thanks.

Sorry to double post, but it may be worth adding that when I was running the Sony via VGA previously it was running at 1280x768 @ 60hz.

Thanks.
