i have a ezquest ext. harddrive that i bought in early 2003. i
used it for my mac for a while before putting it away. now i
want to connect it to a dell that i bought just days ago.
problem is, it runs on windows vista. it doesn't seem to
recognize it. are there drivers that i can download so that it
can work.

which model?

Vista's usb support is ridiculous, any Linux distro now offers better hardware support than MS' new flagship. especially when it comes to peripherals such as scanners, printers, mp3 player, digicams, etc.

you can indeed. (at least here in ireland) dell still offer either xp OR vista. their support page should have XP drivers for your PC (go with the service tag from the sticker in the back ... or use your model no).

ask your conscience if you can do that :-)

oem license keys are legally tied to the original computer.
