|I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to find help on this, and it seems that scores of people have had similar problems when upgrading or buying a new machine. So, I apologise it this is repetitive or tedious, but I can find nothing that works.|
I have my old PC running Windows XP and Office 2003, including Outlook 2003.
I have my new PC running Vista and Windows Mail.
I cannot transfer or migrate my old e-mails to my new PC/mail program.
My old machine does not have Outlook Express on it. It’s a former work machine so I don’t have any of the XP or Office installation disks.
Advice regarding using Express to import .pst files and converting them to .dbx before then moving on to the Vista machine is therefore useless. As are suggestions (as far as I can see) regarding installing Outlook onto my Vista machine (the free trail version of Office 2007 does not include Outlook).
Without ranting about MS, I can’t understand why it should be so difficult to move from one Microsoft set up to another.
The new PC is an HP Pavilion running 64-bit Vista, by the way.
