Hi! chaps, in trouble again!, I want to replace my Advent wireless mouse and keyboard with a Microsoft laser 6ooo, I have downloaded and installed the vista files for same, but still can't get the computer to see it.
I read a review, and it was said that the wireless mouse and keyboard had to be removed first, but there was no install disc for the advent, so I take it that there must be a registry entry, but how does one get into it.
I can't find any system files, like you can in XP, and will windows see it automatically when it is plugged in.
Also, the Laser one has two connections, a usb and a ps/2, is this usual?.
Trusting someone can help.
Thanks in advance.hwillett

well i had the same problem. Connect the keyboard connection (purple) into the ps/2 and use the usb for the mouse connection. If you have installed the intelpoint and inteltype and restarted it should work, if not then restart and plug a usb mouse in and navigate to your device manager and click on the first option(usually computer) and scan for hardware changes and let it install, and it should work from there.

Most input devices has one connector (usually PS/2) with an adapter for USB connection. Some machines (prominently Dell) has no PS/2 ports.
