Subject: Email Migration from OE to Win Mail
OS: Vista Home
CPU/Ram: 1.9GHz/2GB
Model/Manufacturer: Dell Inspiron 1721
Comment:

I just upgraded to a DELL Inspiron 1721. I would like to be able to move my email from Outlook Express (I saved the Identities Folder(s)) to Windows Mail. Does anyone know how to do this or if it's even possible? Thanks.

Use the import mail feature in Windows Mail and point it to the OE folder.
Open Mail click on File choose Import.

Fail Safe way and have had no problems. It looks a bit complicated but is really not and can be done in a couple of minutes. And it works with out mucking up your windows mail program.

First export contacts to csv file on a thumb drive. Then:
1. Make yourself a few folders on your thumb drive such as IN, OUT, Sent, Bills Mail or whatever.
2. Now go into the folder you want to copy and do a CTRL-A (selects all) followed by a CTRL-C (copies all).
3. Go into one of the folders you made and do a CTRL-V.(Pastes all)
4. Do this for each folder you are trying to copy.

Now go to your vista machine and do the opposite.
First Import from a CSV file.
Then copy the Contents of each folder and paste into the appropriate window email folders.
