Dvi to hdmi (hd tv)

I hooked up my 8800 gt 512mb to hd tv via dvi to hdmi and when i go to the hdmi channel on my tv, the screen is there but whenever i move the mouse it makes a really annoying noise 'sort of white noise'
it is really annoying so the only way i can stop this is that i have to mute my tv.
somehow audio is being transffered, i really don't know can someone please help here.

DVI to HDMI type connections cannot transmit sound. DVI is only for video. It has no sound element in it. Therefore, your noise is from something else. If your mouse is wireless, that may be causing interference. In this case, switching to another frequency may help.
To be able to transmit sound, you have to connect another cable to your TV. You can use RCA-plug stereo cable from your PC's sound board to TV.
