Dual Boot-->Single Boot

I followed the following guide to install a dual boot. The first time around the notebook came factory installed with Vista and when I followed the guide it jacked everything up and I lost both partitions : (.
Second time around installing everything fresh, Vista and than XP, I was able to successfully dual boot.
What my question is though, is there a safe way to get rid of the Vista partition (which was the first install so that would be the C: partition)?

Partition magic is a pretty good program that will combine both partitions into one. Also to delete the first partition, just go to disk management and format that disk. Also you might have to delete it from you msconfig.

You can successfully remove Vista from the dual boot & keep your XP installation. You can delete the partition via disk management, as hinted above.
However, you would need to fix your MBR (Master Boor Record) by writing a new boot loader for the XP partition, or your machine will not be able to boot into XP after deleting the Vista partition.
