Reply: (edit)The above link applied to adding XP after Vista. The link below is for adding Vista after XP (it's just one link - there are many available if you google for it) http://apcmag.com/5023/dual_booting... The question you really need to first ask yourself is Does my PC have what is needed to run Vista Ultimate? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919183 If it does, Great! If it doesn't, consider yourself lucky that you have asked us the question. Otherwise you would be very frustrating to the point where you seriously want to throw the PC out the window. i_XpUser

Reply: (edit)FYI... I didn't want to setup the traditional dual boot as I read some horror stories about it. Whether they are true I don't know. Anyway I disconnected my XP drive and hooked up that drives cables to a new drive. I then installed Vista to that drive. So now Vista is my C drive and XP is on IDE1 as a slave. To boot into XP I use my BIOS setup screen to boot from it. All I need to do is press F8 at the initial BIOS boot screen to get a menu of bootable devices. But to tell the truth I like Vista so much I might never have a need to go back into XP.
