Hello all When I boot my computer in Vista ( I have a dual boot with XP) I recieve a variety of problems. The two notable problems on startup are 1. No mouse control (in fact, the mouse itself is acting like it's getting no power, the laser isn't on). and 2. No sound. After checking my device manager, I have driver problems with: Logitech Mouse Acer Monitor AMD processors RAID controller couple of others Anywho, I was advised to uninstall the drivers for said things, and reinstall them. When I do this, I recieve the same problems as before with no improvment. System restore is not an option as that is disabled for some reason. Startup repair via the vista disc is also not an option as it finds nothing wrong. I need major help =/

youo need newest service packs and updates, check in bios if its reading them first, then try uninstalling each from system in device manager then reboot and let windows reinstall best drivers after you reboot try running virusscan some can corrupt your registry, maybe run chkdsk so it can check the registry for errors.
