hi

i don't know whether my previous post made it to the forum, so here's a second try

i reinstalled windows vista on my computer about a month ago, and i'm having computertroubles all along

when i insert an SDcard into the card-reader, there is no reaction. I assume this is because all original vaio-applications and devices and drivers were also removed from my computer, where can i find these, and how can i reinstall them?

also, my ipod is not recognized by my computer, when i check the device manager it says that de driver software wasn't installed proparly, (code 28 that is)

anyone who knows how to solve these problems?
thanks!

actually i've already downloaded these
but i dont know what to do after i've unzipped them?
(i've downloaded the original drivers and utilities for my notebook)

and do you know whether my ipod-problem would be solved too by succesfully installing the original driversoftware ?

Charlotte,

there are 2 ways to install drivers:

1st:
just unzip the driver to folder and keep in mind where is that folder, then in folder, usually there is a "setup" application, install it, when finish will system will ask for restart,do the restart.repeat that for each driver you need to install separately.

2nd:
you can install driver by other way, after you unzip driver, goto "control panel","system","device manager" double click on hardwares with yellow icon(drivers not installed correctly)then click "update driver" then "Browse my computer for driver software" locate the drivers in the unzipped folder. if automatically vista starts too install drivers then it is correct drivers.

for the SDcard, i think you have to install (after unzip file) like 1st way just double click the "setup" application. i have 2 operating systems on my laptop, vista & XP,during XP driver installation,in device manager i did not see any hardware related for SDcard reader, after i install driver, it worked perfect.
