yes i tried ... its an ExE file through which i can install the drivers in windows xp and it will ask from me to install the driver two times. and ask for permission two times for continue or stop installation and when i click on countinue it will find the driver automatically and install it . but in visa when i run the exe file it complete the setup but on the second process it wil ask me for the files and i dont have these files to locate for the driver. and my web cam is i think sony manufactured. please do guide me

When you first click on the .exe file, that file is most probably extracted somewhere on the HDD. Find the location and point to that location when you are asked the next time.
Or conversely, you can extract the contents of the .exe file with winzip, or 7-zip or with another similar file-extracting program. Then you can connect your camera to the usb port and go to Device Manager. There you will see your usb camera device with an yellow exclamation point. You can update the driver and point to where you extracted the .exe file.
For your information, I have a web camera ( not similar to your camera ) from Creative. Creative does not develop drivers for this webcam for Vista. I used XP drivers that were developed in 2004, long before Vista release. They work quite well.

i find it every where it not any extracter file its just a installer. nuthing else. i tried it with every way its not working... so please now tell me what to do next.

I think I am not clear in my explanation.
Find an unzipping program, such as 7-zip. Install 7-zip and then find your .exe file. Right-click the .exe file and select extract files.... This will extract the files to the folder where the .exe file is located. If the .exe file cannot be extracted, you will be notified about it.
Once extracted, do as I already answered above. If the .exe file is not extracted, I have no answer.

ok let me try to do it .... you mean to say we can extract any kind of ExE file with 7.zip or winzip programe ? if u really mean that then its a good thing for me to know from you :) thanks anyways

i did this ..... i extract files and locate it from where i extract. but still same problem im facing :(. is there any other way to install it ? ...and when i try to locate it from the place where i extract it ask for a .inf file that is not there when i extract this exe file. so its not use to do so :(

Response to post #6: No. I do not mean to say that we can extract any kind of .exe file. Not all .exe files can be extracted.
Response to post #7: Is there any .bat file or .cmd file in the folder of the extracted files ?
