Xpuser, this really seems to be the proper driver but its a zip file, and I can't seem to get it installed. (I never had problems installing zip files when I had my desk top with Windows XP). hm...it works for me... 1. Download WinRAR 2. Open the *.zip archive 3. Create a new desktop folder 4. In WinRAR, press Extract to 5. Select the deskop folder you have created 6. Press OK 7. Exit WinRAR 8. Open the desktop folder you have created 9. Run "Setup.exe" 10. Follow on-screen instructions

Well Probfixer, I tried hard the last couple days to get that driver to work all to no avail. I couldn't quite follow the steps you gave to the letter, but I got the driver downloaded and placed it on a CD RW. I went to Device Manager and repeatedly tried to get the driver installed but could not. The system just would not install it. I think the fault is in this Windows Vista Basic OS. Somehow it does not seem able to accommodate Scanners. About 6 months ago I tried to get the drivers installed from info and help from another very good PC forum. There were others on that forum who were also unable to install scanner drivers on PCs using Vista OS. I plan to email Microsoft and ask them to correct this problem! quiet one
