Comment:

I've been using programs such as xxClone and DriveImage XML for years to backup my computer. However, with my recent upgrade to Vista x64, these programs don't work (xxClone doesn't support Vista and DriveImage XML produces an error, which is apparently common and solution-less on Vista). These two programs 3 "features" I liked:

1. Free
2. Worked from Within Windows
3. Allowed for the restore of the whole drive or single files

I have, to-date, been unable to find a new program that meets those requirements and works 100% with Vista x64. Has anyone found a successful Vista backup solution that does those 3 things?

Did you try to install with compatibility mode?

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
