Display distortion

Comment:
Suddenly there is slight distortion in the visual display on screen with no obvious reason for the change. Each symbol (even text) is slightly squeezed - for example the formerly perfectly round "clock" in the Vista gadgets is no longer perfectly round. Any ideas how to correct or what might have caused the problem?

Have you rebooted after playing a game if that has changed the resolution of the scree. Also do check the resolution of the screen in display settings encase it has been altered atall. Is becoming a common problem with the number of widescreen displays.
