Diskett drive 0 Seek failure

I am getting this when I boot up with the choices f1 to continue or f2 to enter setup. If I choose continue the OS never boots up you just see the boot OS screen trying to boot up. The little green indicator bar at the bottom moving. It never changes thats as far as it gets. Can you help?

Have you tried tapping F8 on bootup and getting into safe mode?
