|"Please be aware that if you use the factory settings cd you will lose all data."|
Yep I am aware of that and I've got most things backed up now because I recently restored back to factory settings around a month ago so I made copies of everything and put it on a USB hard drive.
"When you say it failed to recover did you get any error messages.
Or were there any error messages or numbers when it failed to read the disc"
It just had the number three.. then on the line below that it said REOVERY FAILED.
1- What do you mean by recover?
2- how exactly did you do that?
3- Do you have windows 7 or vista as they are both listed in the specs area.
4- Did you tap f8 on startup and click on 'repair my computer?' "
1. Restore back to factory default settings, as in wipe everything and have a new start.
2. By putting in a CD that came with my laptop.
3. Yeah I have Vista...?
4. Nope, should I have?
