Solved Disc check on start up

Specs: Windows Vista
on start up my computer does a disc check, why? when finished its says that I have 63 reparse, I am unsure what that means but it is checking disc c. can someone please explain what this is all about?

However, disk check should only kick in automatically on restart when Windows wasn't shut down properly after the last session.

If you are shutting down Windows properly but Disk Check still kicks in next time you boot your PC, it could indicate a failing hard drive.

If you are in any doubt, back up all your data first then test the drive with DOS-based diagnostic software such as SeaTools for DOS:
