Directory name is invalid

Every time i try to install something from my DVD drive a warning message pops up saying:
E:\
The directory name is invalid.

Any ideas?

Do you have a C:\windows\temp? Install programs use that as a work area.

Is your Vista up-to-date with Windows Update? If not and you are running Vista Ultimate, Vista Enterprise, or Vista Business, see M$ article below for workaround.
