I am trying to install a free download of Direct x 9 to my computer to run my Sims games.

The drivers were erased after the computer was reformatted recently.

Why can't I find a free download of Direct x 9.0? I was told I should be able to google Direct X and find it, But I can't.

I'm getting very frustrated with it. Please help!

You shouldn't need to install DX, Vista includes both 10 & 9. I would suggest you check & make sure you've got the latest drivers for your video card.
