I have Vista Ultimate but I do not use the integrated WMP or Media Center to watch movies - I use VLC almost exclusively for that type of stuff. I do the same even in XP.

Honestly I never understood why only Vista Home Premium & Vista Ultimate included DVD decoders and not the other versions.
For all other versions, you can use either the freeware VLC media player or any one of the paidwares advertised at M$ marketplace HERE.

I think that's lame of MS to not offer DVD Decoder for Vista Business Edtion. I mean this is the second to the top of the line Vista and no DVD Decoder? Not to mention it's a Business Edition and last time I checked there are a nice sum of companies that deal with lots of video and will need some type of decoder program. I mean come on.
