Deleted-All Programs - Start Menu

May 3, 2009 at 17:58:16
Specs: Windows Vista

Recently I found a copy of Programs file in my All
Programs list and I deleted it because it was just a
copy of everything in the All Programs. It didn't delete
the first time so I did it again and then it finally
deleted. But, when I deleted it, it deleted everything
from my All Programs list/folder. Plz help me
get/restore everything to the way it was before! I've
been cursing at myself for sooo long over this and I'm
getting very anxious! Plz help me!! P.S-Its not in my
recycling bin.

How about you try do set it up again by going to the properties of the start bar. Press the customize then restore defaults. This is what I do in XP but I don't know so much about Vista's start bar.

I tried doing system restore but it only made the problem worse
because now most of my icons on my desktop are missing and
nothing changed with All Programs >.<

Right click the taskbar.Properties. Start Menu. Classic view. Apply. Then check the start menu. All programs should be back. Then u can just switch back to the Vista view. Same procedure as above, only select start menu (Vista view). Worked for me.
