Subject: Dead zone settings not savingOS: Vista Ultimate 32bitCPU/Ram: Core 2 Duo E6600 / 2GbModel/Manufacturer: Intel |
Comment: When I apply the dead zone settings for my Saitek P3000 gamepad with the new vista deadzones settings, my settings aren't saved. Does anyone have the same problem? My controller isn't calibrated properly (apparently calibration isn't possible with new devices), and I need to setup some dead zones, and the games I use it for don't have options for that. Is there software I can use to fix this or is there something I can do to make vista work?

Reply: (edit)First, be sure to download and the Vista software/driver package from Saitek. http://www.saitek.com "Enough, enough bowing down to disillusion! Hats off & applause to rogues & evolution! The ripple effect is too good not to mention. If you’re not affected, you’re not paying attention!"

Reply: (edit)Yeah I've done that. But these aren't part of Saitek's software, it's a vista feature and the settings aren't saving. I can't find anyone on google that's complaining about it either...

Reply: (edit)I'm not familiar with that pad in Vista. :-( "Enough, enough bowing down to disillusion! Hats off & applause to rogues & evolution! The ripple effect is too good not to mention. If you’re not affected, you’re not paying attention!"

Reply: (edit)Well, I updated the drivers and now it appears the settings are saving. Maybe it had to do with the drivers... I though the dead zones settings was a universal vista feature, maybe it isnt.
