Comment: Come on you Vista experts, tell me what I've done now, when I'm sending an email, or doing any type of typing, my cursor will only move one space, and will only move one space backwards, so if I mis-type, the only way I can rectify my mistake, is to highlight the error, theln delete it, also, it often misses a letter. I've obviously altered a default somewhere. Because my wireless mouse had been acting up a bit, I thought it might be a mouse or Keyboard fault, so I bought a new wireless mouse and Keyboard, but it is just the same. It has taken me over ten minutes to type this letter because of this. Thanlks in advance for any answers. Willy33 hwillett

Reply: (edit)Have you tried to recreate this anomaly in safe mode? Also does it happen with another user profile? (you need to create one to check this)

Reply: (edit)Shutdown & restart the system, make sure you do not login to the profile you are trying to copy. In other words, login to the new one you've created (this new account will need to have admin rights). 0. Right click on Computer >> click Properties >> Advance System Settings. 1. From the user profiles section click on settings 2. Select the user profile you wish to copy from >> click copy to & follow the prompts. If the above doesn't cut it for you - you can try a more detailed method.....see link below. http://joshmouch.wordpress.com/2007...

Reply: (edit)Dear Sabertooth, I have carried out your suggestions to Select user profiles to copy, but the Copy command is greyed out. I'm sorry, but the url you sent me is too advanced for me, I would never think of interfereing with the Registry. Any more help please, I do appreciate it. Henry Willett hwillett

Reply: (edit)I anticipated that "gray" part coming up & that was why I asked you in the last response to make sure you've Shutdown & restart the system, make sure you do not login to the profile you are trying to copy. In other words, login to the new one you've created. If you log in to that account even once you'll have to reboot to try it again.

Reply: (edit)Hi willy again... I would never think of interfereing with the Registry. You'll always be at a disadvantage in that your Windows will always have control over you. Try to learn how to master & work with Windows Registry. When you do you will be amazed with the greater things it can do for you. You also will take back what's rightfully yours from Windows & M$ hostage. Do not fall prey to or depend on third-party fixes that sometimes don't do for you what you can easily do yourself! i_XpUser
