Use external USB floppy drive. Take your pick from Tigerdirect link HERE. The prices listed are low only because the unit is bulky. If you prefer a more expensive but slender external drive, consider this one.

I already have a floppy disk drive. Just need to make a copy. I know its a very elementary question. Pls advise. (Windows Vista)

If you just want to copy the contents, open the floppy, select everything, copy, paste to your desktop, put the new floppy in select items on your desktop, copy, open floppy, paste.

Or open command prompt and type
copy a:*.* a:The above will work only if you have floppy drive attached to the computer either externally or internally.

To make an exact clone of your floppy at command prompt (Start/Run then enter CMD) type
diskcopy A: A:
Highly raccomanded if the flopy to be copied is a bootable one.

Didn't Windows used to have (I wouldn't know now, I've not had a floppy drive in years) a copy disk option on the drive's right click menu in my computer?

Xcopy a: b: would fool the system.
a: to a: should complain.
See also robocopy it is the best tool to copy.
Also one could use rawread and rawrite to make an image of the floppy to the hard drive and back.
Also winzip should allow you to copy it back and forth.
Plenty of other ways.
Cat command would work.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
