Comment: My Aunt just bought a computer (currently writing in her place) and accaording to her, everything was working fine with windows media player and the computer, the computer would detect the cd's as she put them in and they would play fine. But she said she was messing with something and now the comuter wont detect the cd's as you put them in and wmp doesn't react like before. She said the place she was messing with was the control panel\auto play options. I looked in there but there doesn't seem tp be a problem. I tell it to ask me what to do if i put in a music cd ( which is what im doing), no reaction when I put it in, I tell it to automaticly play it in wmp, nothing happens. Anyone know what might be the problem?

Reply: (edit)Check with your aunt and see when it was working properly. Go to Windows Restore and locate a restore point prior to when she was having problems. Windows Vista is amazing with regards to being able to use restore points. It seldom worked properly for me in XP but have had no instance where I used a restore point and it didn't work in Vista. Have a feeling this will solve your problem.
